About the role
- You'll write Python that powers real workflows — from backend services and data pipelines to AI-adjacent tooling and integrations.
- We're looking for someone who doesn't just know Python but is genuinely passionate about it. Someone who has strong opinions about code quality, reads about Python patterns in their spare time, and is excited about where AI and Python meet.
- Everyone on the team uses AI tools actively in their workflow — this isn't optional. If you already use Claude, MCP, or similar tools to make yourself faster and better, you'll fit right in.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain Python services, scripts, and utilities that support the platform's backend operations.
- Integrate with third-party APIs and data sources as part of the product's workflow automation.
- Write clean, tested, and well-documented Python — correctness and readability matter here.
- Use AI tools (Claude, MCP Cloud) as everyday collaborators to accelerate development and improve output quality.
- Participate in code reviews and help make the codebase better for everyone.
What we're looking for
- Deep interest in Python — you care about the language beyond just 'getting things done'.
- Solid understanding of Python fundamentals: typing, error handling, async, packaging, testing.
- Strong code quality instincts — you write code others can read, maintain, and extend.
- Active use of AI tools in your development workflow (Claude, Copilot, MCP, or similar).
- Ability to work independently, ask good questions, and iterate without needing constant direction.
Nice to have
- Experience with REST APIs, data pipelines, or backend service patterns.
- Familiarity with the N18 domain or related tooling.
- Experience writing Python tests (pytest, unittest).
- Interest in LLM APIs or AI-native development patterns.
